Update: Thoughts on Being a Vegetarian

So, if you haven’t found my blog through my studyblr (goodvibeslonghikes), then you probably don’t know that I have been vegetarian for the past month or so. Again, not long enough to see that many changes but I can comment and give my thoughts on a few

.

Physically: I feel more energized and definitely not as heavy or as bloated as I would feel when I ate a lot of meat. I have noticed though that I’m not able to keep warm for long in cooler places and that it takes longer for me warm up. I usually just drink a cup of hot tea or coffee when this happens. I have also noticed that my skin looks a lot healthier and definitely has a kind of glow about it. I haven’t had a bad pimple for weeks! My family and friends have also made several comments on the fact that I look a lot slimmer and more toned than I did last month but I haven’t seen any drastic changes so far except.

Mentally/Emotionally: Since I haven’t been feeling bloated, I haven’t really been that overworked or depressed about my weight and body. I feel like I have a brighter outlook on my diet and whole lifestyle since I’m eating a lot greens, fruits and other nutritious foods. I haven’t had cravings for meat featured meals for a while and actually can’t imagine myself eating meat again, which was almost an impossible thought at the start of this month. I do have to say though, I have been enjoying the vegetarian meals a lot more and I feel like that’s the biggest reason why I haven’t succumbed or given up on vegetarianism.

Xo, Nomi
