Senior Year: IB + College Apps (Blog Revival 2.0)

Hey!
It's been a while since I've posted on this blog but as senior year approaches the halfway point and the need for the list of things that I want on my college app grows, I think reviving this blog (again) would not only help me be productive since blogging/vlogging is something that I want to do and genuinely enjoy but also just to help me in terms of enhancing that application. :)
Anyway, since I've opened this post by discussing college applications and the struggle of an IB senior, maybe it's best to just continue on the same course.
HL ARTBasically, between studying for SAT's, multiple unit tests (that are also one after another), writing IA's and essays, reading assigned literature - and the extended essay, I think I haven't gotten a full night's rest since the beginning of the school year (we literally kicked off the year the year with a unit test for one of my classes).
To top it off, applications are due before winter break and between that December/January deadline and now, I have to make sure I not only bump up all my grades but also end up with enough CAS hours and write a highly convincing personal statement AND study and take my 4th SAT.
To be honest, I feel as if anyone who is not doing the full IB Diploma course, doesn't really understand what it means to literally spend more hours in front of a screen (or in my case, either a screen or a canvas - sometimes both) thank in your bed sleeping. IB is not just a system that you have to excel academically in but also one which assess personal engagement, learning habits, organization and communication. Did I also mention TOK presentations?
If anyone that is reading this takes the IB/AP and is a senior (or approaching senior), what do you think? How are you doing?
Also, the best of luck to all the classes of 2016!
xo,
Nomi
